About Lmuma Creek Recreation Site
The Yakima River winds 27 miles through desert hills and basalt cliffs, some more than 2,000 feet high, between Ellensburg and Yakima, and Lmuma Creek Recreation Site is one of four Bureau of Land Management campground and day-use sites along it, with Roza, Big Pines and Umtanum. The canyon offers wildlife watching, Blue Ribbon trout fishing, family-friendly rafting and camping. Lmuma Creek has tent sites and restrooms, and dogs are welcome, but there is no drinking water and there are no hookups. The sites are open year-round. Reservations are taken through Recreation.gov from May 1 to September 30, and sites are first come, first served the rest of the year. Cell coverage is limited in much of the canyon. Rated 4.4 from 71 Google reviews.
